Directv dvr freezing/not responding?

I have a Directv dvr and sometimes when I do something it won't respond. Ex. I hit the guide button and it comes up, and I scroll like twice and it stops, I hit the button again but nothin. Or watch something recorded and start to fast forward and it keeps going and going. The light flashes on the dvr acknowledging I hit the button but nothing happens for about 30 seconds. And this issue is getting more Frequent.

Circuit breaker trips in middle of night?

recently had house built in 1930 totally rewired, new 200 amp panel, house brought up to local city electrical codes, new receps, new romex to all outlets and fixtures. new panel has regular breakers except for 3 special "quick trip" breakers required by code in master bedroom and office area. One of the three breakers trips about once a week in the middle of the night, shutting off our receps. in master bedroom and office. Only things that are plugged into the receps and left running all night are the Direct TV DVR/reciever, computer and two clocks.

Off antidepressants but why am i still sweating?

I had a mental break down in November and they had to put my on alot of antidepressants. I kept getting sad so every couple weeks i would get my meds change every time it was like the strongest meds i could get. after like 3 months when it became spring and got warmer i started to sweat more then it became summer and it got hotter. At this time i been on the meds about 5 months and i sweat like crazy. i sweat like 2 cups of water a day its that bad it makes me dizzy its so bad. I stop taking my meds cold turkey for like a month and i was still sweating like crazy. the tinniest amount of exertion makes me sweat. I dont know why i been off them for so long. I admit i been through like 8 to like 12 different meds over the 5 months at the highest doses possible but will the side affects eventually ware off or am i stuck like this forever?

I've seen a similar question to this before and I think the answer is no. It depends on the camera. I don't believe the CCTV cameras can hook in like that. I might be wrong though. Consider trying a wireless camera and saving the data to your PC. That might be an option for you. DVR systems are expensive and usually the cameras are not that good that come with them.

Hidden home camera security system?

I got a quite from a security camera person and it was like 2.5g and way over the price I'm willing to pay. Someone has been destroying my mailbox and I want to set up one camera on my house to watch it. It needs to be good quality, HD if possible, with IR and PTZ. My brother had just recently bought this gun and he is pretty satisfied with. It's basically a low powered sniper rifle. I recommend some heavy BBs for improved accuracy. .25 BBs would do the job. Springers are not desriable for airsoft, you should a gas blow back or electric blow back or CO2 pistol.

Tv producers and writers are running out of good ideas. The shows dont interest me becuase they're just so...dry. I've seen the same plots over and over agian with just different characters. I applied to transfer from my cc to penn state last summer and was accepted but I chose a different university. I now wish to attend penn state instead. I have a Apex 47' Flat Screen that is hooked up to a DirecTV receiver via an HDMI cable with no sound.?

The DirecTV is hooked-up to my stereo system and the sound comes out of my stereo and the TV. But, just a week ago, the sound stopped coming out of the TV. There is only one connection from the TV to the DirecTV box, and that is one HDMI cable. What is the problem? Also, the DVR is connected to the TV with one HDMI cable, and the sound is alright with both the TV and stereo system. So it is not a problem with the TV audio. But, there is no sound with the TV when look at normal DirecTV stations -- only a great picture. Is it possible that an HDMI cable can go bad and only display the image and not the sound? Need Help!!

I was thinking the exact same thing before. Melbourne's summer sucked this year, we're now almost half way through winter and there's virtually zero rain! We just got Verizon Fios and I tried recording a television show using the series option and used keep up to 10 episodes. However, I used the keep up to 10 episodes option and 12 episodes are already taped. I only want to keep 10 episodes because about 5 shows of this show run per day. I just setted up the wii properly and it's on. I can't get to the channel where you can play the wii. The manuel/directions to the wii says to select the correct input settings. How do I do that? There is nothing on my dvr, tv or tv remote that says input settings.

It's an American German Shepherd!!... (right) People obviously don't know that that's their name in some countries. I have two who shed a lot. The shorter fur sheds more than longcoats because the longcoats don't have an undercoat. It definitely can be managed by brushing the dog everyday. Buy a furminator! They can be pricy but are absolutely worth it. They shed mostly during season changes, especially spring, but can be managed. You will still see fur around the house. It is worth it in the end because they are such great dogs!! Good luck!!

Does anyone remember this old children's book about a dragon?

I have a vague memory of this one picture book from when I was a kid but we don't have it anymore and I can't find it in Google. It centered around a little boy who went to fight a dragon because everyone in his village was afraid of it. But when the dragon comes out of the cave, it turns out he is not a real dragon at all but one made out of springs, gears, and clockwork bits. I can't remember any more details of the plot except I think one of the reasons everyone was afraid of it was the loud clanging sound it made when it walked. The illustrations were all in reds, oranges, browns, and blacks I think... but it is all so hazy! Does this ring a bell to anyone else? Do cartoons make your kids go crazy?

I find certain cartoons make my children go a little crazy. They'll start fighting, acting up, running, etc. Usually they'll either be sitting quietly or playing together nicely and then BAM they turn into little scrappers or crazy kids. It's not the time of day, but certain shows (I've tried the theory a few times a day and in the car). I find that Strawberry Shortcake makes my kids run. They just run run run when it's on and sing the song. I find the Disney Jr Channel shorts invoke my kids to be obstinate and disobedient. I really like a few of the cartoons on there but most are irritating and have no educational or pointed content. I have resorted to using the DVR to record certain shows that my husband and I agree are ok and it's been better but for free time sometimes we watch just cartoons on TV and I've started to notice the behavior start up again. Just wondering if I'm the only one who notices this or if other parents notice certain shows influencing their children too.

I have dish network at my house and we have two boxes. My problem is when we try to record or watch live tv. We have two boxes but the master box or box 1 when some one records it forces you to switch over on box 2. Did Mick Jagger influence change in the 50s 60s and 70s?

Jagger was not a celebrity in the 50s, the Rolling Stones formed in 1962. Mick and his band influenced music, with some early 60s hits and their first album released in 1966 but not so much the general public or the history of the times as the Beatles seem to take most of the limelight in the 60s and 70s. But, Mick, and the 'Stones" longevity is incredibly remarkable and they are still one of my favorites nearly fifty (Yikes!) years latter.

Have a DVR/VCR combo. Use both. Recently noticed that things which I record on my VCR have waves going through the tape and makes a funny whistling sound. (Yes I still use the obsolete VCR--often recording things from my DVD) Looks better when I record on SP instead of EP but still have some picture quality problems. My horse has allergies?

My 13 year old quarter horse has allergies. His hair is peeling off his face and he has rubbed his tail. He is wormed regularly and just had his blood tested and the vet is thinking allergies. The vet gave him a steroidal injection due to his immediate symptoms. The blood test came back neg for parasites. It has been almost a month a it's not really getting any better. Problem Recording 'old' Series on TWC DVR?

Just got TWC the other day, and got a Scientific Atlanta Explorer 8300HD DVR. Problem is, when I try to record a series, I only have the option to record 'new' episodes. I've tried selecting 'record series with options' and simply 'record series'...either way in the actual options next to the 'record' setting...I am only given the option to record 'new' episodes, with no way to change or edit it to record old episodes of a series. Is this an issue with this particular model DVR, or a bug on mine?

2 days ago i dropped my ps3 controller on the pavement in my basement. Every button is working functional except the r1 and r2 triggers. I have Cable Internet to a modem, then goes to a router which has my 2nd computer and the directv dvr plugged into it hardwired to those devices with ethernet cords, Internet was working fine until a few nights ago I went onto my second computer and deleted my avira antivirus and added Glary utilities, I was going to download some kind of antivirus from windows but gave me some kind of error so iI changed my mind, then the next day, my main computer didn't work, I did all troubleshooting, reset modem and comp and comp check cables, then called internet company they said that my router was bad, so I hooked up a different router and brand new ethernet cables also, on bottom left of pc the thing that shows you if its connected to internet, showed a ciorcle like it was trying to connect, then a red x, kept on doing this, disabled lan made sure the autamattically detec fileds were checked, then enabled, the internet worked for a minute, then kept with the circle and red x, when I opened naetwork and conenction center said public setting, so I changed to home network, worked for a few minutes, then stoped working, then everytime I would try something new, it kept going back to public network (which I don'yt want), I eventually hooked my main pc to computer, but I wanted to use it, and I heard somewhere dvr might mess internet up, so I unplugged dvr, and reset, now works fine, for a couple hours already, is there a way I can fix this? Is this whats causing the issue? So, I was watching the season finale of 16 and Pregnant which I recorded on my DVR. After it was over, a preview for a new show on MTV came on, but the recording cut off before it showed the name of the new show. It's about a girl who gets a letter about killing herself, so she takes some aspirin and starts choking on it and then falls and breaks her arm and is having to wear a neck brace and an elevated cast. People at school talk about how she tried to kill herself and she becomes all cool because she changes clothes the fastest with her partner at some school event. Why are people from Colorado so rude?

I've visited Denver and Colorado Springs several times, and I work with people from Ft. Collins. I have been to dozens of other cities in America, and it seems as if there's a much higher percentage of arrogant jerks in Colorado than anywhere else I have visited. The people on their bicycles are mean, store owners and workers don't seem to want to help anyone. Even the homeless people seem to think they're better than everyone else. I get the impression that many of them are rejects from California, and they feel like they are too good for their current location. To be fair, I have met some very nice people in Colorado, but there are far more rude people than anywhere else I've been. It's like common politeness has skipped that state.

Question about student loans?

I accepted about $12,000 in student loans for the 2011-2012 year. On my award letter the loan is divided into three quarters, fall, winter, and spring. However I am not attending fall quarter. The financial aid office said that is ok, I can accept the loan for the full amount anyway. So will my loan be divided into the 3 quarters, so I get about 4,000 each quarter? Even if I am not attending fall, I will receive the $4,000? I would ask the financial aid office but they NEVER answer their phones and aren't very helpful. I go to a branch of Ohio University if that helps. I also received $5,500 in grants, which should pay for the whole year. Thanks!

Whyyy is all I want to know things are like they are?

I'm 14 and I am the youngest of 4. My mom was married to my sisters dad but he died. Then she met my dad 7years later. They were engaged then came ME. They broke up, my sisters got older and moved out now its just me and my mom. She works full time at the hospital. I see my dad sometimes but its not a close relationship and my sisters tell me I should at least try because dad is a big part of my life and I need him in it but I really dont care. I started to stay home by myself since I was 8. I dont recall my mom ever teaching me about sex and other stuff your mom suppose to talk to you about. I have always done homework and projects by myself. Dont get me wrong I have never failed or made below a B in my lifetime. I know not to have sex or smoke or drink or do crazy stuff. Not because somebody taught me about it,because I feel I had to found out for myself. I love the internet and for ANYTHING I need to go I always have my laptop waiting for me to research. My mom works all the time, I feel as if I could sneak out the house and she would never know. Im not crazy enough to do it. Sometimes I feel as if she doesn't care. Stuff about boys,sex,your period and all that I feel my mom should come and talk to me about it but she doesn't. I mean I have friends parents that are involved in there life, help them with homework and stuff,go out with them,support them in extracurricular activites but not me. My mom is always at work or sleep. I would love to do gymnastics,cheerleading,pageants but I wouldnt have support or a way to practices or whatever. I never do anything for spring break, summer break, or anything. For Christmas, i get what I want,my mom doesnt surprise me with little gifts like other parents do. What just happened to America's Got Talent on NBC?

I was sitting here watching America's Got Talent on NBC and it was a new episode, then it said: "We now return to America's Got Talent." When it was already on! NOW there is a repeat episode running! When a new episode was already playing! They interrupted the new episode with an old one! How could NBC make such a huge mistake? Not to mention my DVR didn't tape the last episode at 9 PM even though it was a new episode, but that's an entirely different problem, but I think it may be NBC's fault also, now that this happened. Dealing with my dad when hes in an extra foul mood?

He doesn't hit just yells a lot. My dad is a person who likes to get worked about anything and everything. I feel bad for not helping him, but I avoid as much as possible cause I never do it to his standards and I am out down and yelled at when I don't do it exactly as he wants. During these moods I avoid him, but many times I cannot avoid him. He'll go off on me for nothing and it makes tears spring to my eyes, I know I this shouldn't happen but it does. I never let him see the tears cause I know it will be worse. There's no way to talk to him cause he thinks he's perfect and can never make a mistake in life. How can I desensitize myself? This is unneeded stress and upset for no reason.

Can someone identify this Winchester .22 Long rifle?

I recently inherited a Winchester .22 Long rifle from my grandfather when he passed away. I have been trying to look for information on the gun online to see if there's anything I need to know before I shoot it. But I can't find the gun anywhere! I know it is Winchester because it is branded as such on the barrel. I also know it is .22 long because it is designated as such below the Winchester stamp. But I am unsure of the model. The gun is quite old (I don't know manufacture date but it's been around for decades) and I don't think it's made anymore. The gun has a loading mechanism where rounds are inserted into a tube that leads up to the chamber. A spring loaded pole must be unscrewed and puled out to expose a cartridge shaped hole on the bottom of the tube (which is below the barrel) to load rounds. The gun has a pump action that also cocks a fully functioning hammer (a possible substitute?) It's fairly easy to field strip as one tool-less screw needs to be undone to open the chamber. Can anyone enlighten me as to the model number of this gun as I'm looking forward to learning more about it and taking it out to shoot. If I get the chance I will upload photos to provide added clarity. Any help is much appreciated!

Ever Been Disappointed By An Album Release?

I was kinda let down the first time I heard Disturbed's album "Asylum." I was just really underwhelmed when the album finished, as opposed to "Nightmare" by Avenged Sevenfold, which i listened to all the way through five times the first day I got it. Funny thing is, Asylum is now one of my favorite albums. I had to listen to it several times to fully appreciate it, but at the time I was kinda disappointed when I heard it.
