Is it bad to unplug my Comcast cable box?

to try and cut down on energy use my girlfriend and i are unplugging our entertainment center at night so that there is no ghost power. What i want to know is does this damage my Comcast cable receiver. it is the black Motorola box and there is no DVR and it is turned off before we unplug it.
