If you have a normal t.v. and DVR do you still need a converter box?

You will need the converter box only if your television signal is being obtained through a roof or in-room antenna (over the fre airwaves). If you subscribe to some form of signal (cable, satellite or other provider) then you will not need a converter box, which converts from analog to digital signal.
